Short & Sweet Book Clubs

Book Clubs are provided for parents, Family, Friend and Neighbor caregivers, and children in various neighborhoods across Denver with a focus on school readiness. The target population is low income families of children birth to age 3 who are not enrolled in formal early childhood education programs.

Short & Sweet Book Club is a school-year based program that meets once per week for two hours. A trained facilitator reads an educational story to the children and their caregivers, facilitates a related activity, hosts a snack time, and provides the opportunity for children and caregivers to socialize with one another. Every child is provided with a copy of that week’s book, so that they can grow their home library.
